Truly A Major-League City?


Oh Miami, this is why we love you so:
Nearly 3.1 miles, as opposed to exactly 3.1 miles, because the night before, apparently unbeknownst to Miami police and the city's public works department, Northeast Third Avenue between Third and Fourth Streets ''was stripped for resurfacing,'' race co-director Hans Huseby said. ``We stumbled onto it before the race and it was the classic, `What the . . .'''
You can't make this stuff up.
